The 303 ArtWay is currently working toward its crowdfunding goal on Indiegogo. A beautiful coupling of the arts, urban commerce, and the 303 community, thanks to the Urban Land Conservancy of Denver, Colorado. Check out their website to learn more about this incredible project and watch the video campaign we helped create.
During the creation of this video, our team had the opportunity to interview 303 ArtWay supporter and contributor, Ed Dwight. If you don’t know who he his, I’m excited for you to find out.
Ed Dwight is the first African-American astronaut during the age of the Apollo, also currently living in Denver, CO. Despite those two facts already illustrating the extent of his amazing being, Ed currently works as a professional sculptor and has a 30,000 square foot studio in Denver, producing 120+ U.S. monuments over the years and still going. He is 82. Dwight reminds us how to embrace your whole essence, and by doing so, contribute all of your potential to your global community.
“Even when I was an astronaut, I was an artist. I used to sneak off to the ceramics room at the base and make tea cups and plates with all the women.”
One of the rewards for crowdfunding The 303 ArtWay on Indiegogo is dinner with Ed Dwight himself. Do not miss your chance to sit down with the man, or at the very least, be a founding contributor to the ArtWay. Mighteor CEO Liz Georgi captured the interview and the inspiring experience of meeting Dwight in her blog, beinggeekchic. Give it a read for some guaranteed inspiration.
